DNA Tests from 2011 Store Robbery Result in Weston Man's Arrest
The robber left a mask and shirt at the scene, police said.

The Sept. 29 robbery of the Merritt Country Store at 337 Main St. in Westport went unsolved for almost three years until DNA test results finally came back on a mask and shirt the robber allegedly left at the scene.
The DNA tests pointed to Derek Forsythe, 26, of 73 Georgetown Rd., Weston. Westport police obtained a search warrant allowing them to take DNA samples from Forsythe, and those matched the DNA found on the two pieces of evidence, according to police and court records, The Hour of Norwalk reported.
