Easton Man Stole $28K in Cash, Jewelry in Milford: Police

BREAKING: Police say the accused allegedly pawned the jewelry. He was staying at a house as a renter.

MILFORD, CT — An Easton man is accused of stealing more than $28,000 worth of money and jewelry from a city residence while living in the home as a renter, police said. The accused allegedly pawned the stolen jewelry, police said.

In December 2016, Milford Police Department received a complaint in regards to missing money and jewelry from a Milford Residence, police said in a news release. Investigation led to the arrest of Nicholas Bodine, 24, of Morehouse Road in Easton, police said.

Bodine is accused of taking over $28,000 worth of money and jewelry from the residence while living in the home as a renter, police said. Numerous pieces of the stolen jewelry were located at local pawn shops, leading to Bodine’s arrest, police said.

Bodine was held on a $50,000 bond to appear in Milford Court on April 12, 2017.
