Easton Police Chief Is Appointed
Assistant Stamford Police Chief Timothy Shaw will become chief of Easton Police in July.

Stamford’s Assistant Police Chief Timothy Shaw is set to resign from the department after 28 years and become chief of the Easton Police Department.
The 48-year-old Shaw will take the helm of the 14-officer Easton department in mid-July, according to The Advocate. Shaw will replace Chief James Candee who has announced he will retire at the end of June.
Shaw was promoted to Assistant Chief of Police in June 2013, and took command of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the City of Stamford’s Emergency Communications Center (911), the Emergency Operations Center, the Training Division along with numerous other units.

Shaw is a native of East Haven. His previous assignments have included, the Patrol Division, the Detective Bureau, the Neighborhood Impact Unit and the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit.
