Easton Community Center begins Chess Strategy 101
(code 125150-01) for ages 9-13 with 5 sessions 3:45-4:45 p.m. Mondays Jan. 10-Feb. 14 (no class Jan. 17). The cost for members is $75 per person; non-members, $85.
Research shows that those who play chess gain cognitive skills, improve reading comprehension, learn to solve problems logically and improve spatial intelligence and self esteem! Students learn the fundamentals of the game, including all rules and basic strategies. Students are grouped according to their knowledge of and experience with the game so that opponents challenge their abilities.
