
Registration is now open for “REDDING: Willing and Able” to be held Wednesday, May 18th from 5pm to 7pm at the Redding Community Center, 37 Lonetown Road, Redding, CT. The event consists of workshops, medical screenings and informational booths, raffles, refreshments and entertainment, all FREE of charge. This event is brought to you from RVNA’s Quality Living at Home, Redding Commission on Aging and the Town of Redding. Sponsors and partners include Danbury Hospital and Keller Williams Realty with co-sponsors Meadow Ridge, The Greens at Cannondale and Laurel Ridge Heath Care Center.

Workshops include: “Legal and Financial Strategies” with Elder Care Attorney Ann Fowler-Cruz and Financial Advisor Barbara McMahon. “Alternative Therapies” with Reiki Master Ellie Kirk; “Scams What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You” with Police Chief Douglas Fuchs and Office Chris McManus; “Strategies for Dealing with Aging Parents” with Dr. Rosalind Kopfstein.

Health screenings include free cholesterol (non-fasting) and anemia screenings, diabetic risk assessment, blood pressure, vision and glaucoma screenings. Visit the booths for information on housing options, health and lifestyle choices and resources and raffle prizes.
