School Superintendent to speak at Kiwanis this Saturday

Preparing Weston’s students for global citizenship and focusing on innovation to ensure continuous improvement of the district in the climate of fiscal challenges, state mandates, and the landscape of educational reform, will be among the topics discussed this week by the town’s Superintendent of Schools Dr. Colleen Palmer at the Weston Kiwanis meeting this coming Saturday, April 14, at Norfield Parish Hall at 8:30 a.m.  Breakfast will be served and members of the public are welcome.

Dr. Palmer will provide an overview of the current status of the district, and share her thoughts on quality education for the 21st century. Dr. Palmer was recently highlighted in an article regarding educational reform in CT in the national publication, Education Week.  She has presented at state and national conferences on the topics of quality management in education, technology integration, and data-driven decision-making.
