Screening of MOTHER NATURE'S CHILD
Thursday, June 9 7 – 8:30 pm
A worthwhile documentary made by two concerned citizens that explores the ways that time spent in nature promotes children’s well-being, contributes to the future of the planet and nourishes the human spirit. The film uses real world scenarios to illustrate why connections with the outdoors and nature are so vital and that if exposed to environmental education as child, this respect and passion is carried through to adulthood. A facilitator will be available to explain Connecticut’s Environmental Literacy Plan and how we are working towards an environmentally literate society. Free.
