For those with an interest in
period textiles, or just an appreciation for fine craftsmanship, an Antique Quilt
show will be on display in the Weston Historical Society’s the Barn Museum,
Coley House and the Exhibit Hall of the Archive building. There will be an $8:00 admission fee to
view the quilts and the funds will benefit the Weston Historical Archive. The antique quilts originated from come from
the south, west and mid west with some of the quilts coming from the
Coley family farm in Weston.
Gardeners will want to check out
the Heritage Plant sale. Old-fashioned shrubs and perennials such as iris,
astilbe, peonies, black-eyed Susan, grasses, ferns and spirea will be available
and priced to SELL. Most of the plant offerings are locally grown in
your neighbor’s gardens and carefully potted and cared for, while some of the
plant offerings will be from a traditional grower.
