Ex-Teacher Charged with Sexual Assault a Former Redding Employee
Officials said there was no reason to believe at this time that any of the alleged activities took place in Redding.

A former Bethel teacher accused of inappropriate contact with three minors was once an employee of the Redding Parks and Recreation Department, Redding officials said Wednesday.
Brian Stroh, 30, of New Fairfield is charged with three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. According to State Police, Stroh allegedly had inappropriate contact with three children aged 6, 9 and 11.

In a letter sent to Redding parents by First Selectman Julie Pemberton, she said there was no indication at this time that any of these alleged activities took place in Redding or during his employment with the town. Pemberton went on to say that the allegations were disturbing nonetheless.
Redding Chief of Police Doug Fuchs has contacted the Bethel Police Department and the State Police to be kept informed if the investigation extends to Redding.

Stroh was employed as an assistant camp director with the town of Redding during the summers of 2013 and 2014.
Any parents with specific concerns are asked to contact Chief Douglas Fuchs.
In the letter, Pemberton said, “the wellbeing and safety of our children is the town’s primary concern.”
