Gas Gauge: Lowest Price Still Rising, to $3.79
For the second straight week, this area's gas prices went up. Let's help each other find the least expensive stations around.

As Weston-Redding-Easton Patch does each weekend, we're looking to GasQuest — a frequently updated online listing — for the least expensive gasoline in our area.
After rising to $3.75 , the cheapest gas around Weston, Redding and Easton jumped again to $3.79 (see table below).
In Connecticut, the average gallon of regular gasoline held steady at $3.74, according to AAA's "Fuel Gauge Report," with mid-grade at $3.87, premium at $3.98 and diesel at $4.13.

One year ago, a gallon of gas in Connecticut would cost, on average, $2.92, with mid-grade at $3.17, premium at $3.25 and diesel at $3.17.
