The forthcoming solar array at Meadow Ridge, Redding's continuing care retirement community, was recognized Tuesday by the Connecticut Green Bank at their annual awards as a 2023 C-PACE Outstanding Project. The project, which is scheduled to come online in late 2024, will provide the senior living community with more than 732 kilowatts of clean, renewable power.

The Meadow Ridge solar array, currently in the pre-construction phase, was designed by West Hartford-based Verogy and realizes a long-time vision of the Meadow Ridge’s Resident Solar Committee and leadership. The project is funded, in part, through a commercial property-assessed clean energy (C-PACE) loan from the CT Green Bank.

The CT Green Bank annual awards recognize projects, partners, and others for “their commitment to the green economy and demonstrated leadership in their industries and communities.” More information and a full list of this year’s recipients are available here. Meadow Ridge’s Resident Solar Committee will also be honored April 3 by Wilton Go Green at its second annual community awards celebration.
