Navin Pleads Guilty to Double Murder on Eve of Trial
Navin was accused of killing his parents, owners of a Westport refuse company.

EASTON, CT --- Kyle Navin, 29, pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to the double murder of his parents, Easton residents Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, in 2015. His trial for that crime had been scheduled for Tuesday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
Navin's parents had been reported missing from their Easton home in August 2015. Their bodies were found shot dead three months later, buried within contractor bags in a yard at an abandoned home in Weston. The Navins owned J&J Refuse in Westport, where their son worked.
Jennifer Valiante, Navin's girlfriend, had also been arrested in the case. She is two years into serving an eight-year sentence after pleading guilty under the Alford Doctrine to conspiracy to commit murder and hindering prosecution.
