New Amenities Enhance Meadow Ridge Experience

Spa, golf simulator, EV charging stations unveiled; new restaurant to open soon

Redding, Conn. – Meadow Ridge, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Redding, Conn., has recently unveiled several new campus amenities that elevate the senior living experience.

The Spa is an elegant and relaxing environment offering the services of a high-end resort while promoting healing and wellness. With state-of-the-art equipment and a highly experienced massage therapist, residents can indulge in Swedish and deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, reflexology, reiki, aromatherapy and organic facials.

Golfers at Meadow Ridge can now hit the links year-round at The Ridge Range, an indoor golf experience. Meadow Ridge already has expansive outdoor facilities including hiking trails, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce, a croquet lawn, and a putting green. At The Ridge Range, golfers select one of 25 different courses to display on a screen and swing real clubs, hitting real golf balls. The simulator analyzes their shot and displays the ball’s flight and landing, giving players the experience of golfing without having to leave the building.

The community has also installed four electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, adding to Meadow Ridge’s significant investment in green energy. The stations meet the need of a growing number of residents and guests who drive plug-in electric or hybrid vehicles. Late last year, the community energized a large solar installation and, before that, completed a conversion to energy efficient lighting throughout the campus.

Just last month, Meadow Ridge was ranked highest among the CCRCs in Connecticut by U.S. News & World Report, in part because of the amenities the community offers. “Our residents are active, engaged, and have distinctive tastes,” says Meadow Ridge Campus Executive Director Chris Barstein. “That’s why Meadow Ridge is constantly evolving to provide them with the best possible experience to help them enjoy life to the fullest.”

This summer, Meadow Ridge will introduce a new dining concept as it opens another restaurant with a full bar. The project is being shaped with the input of residents, on both design elements and food. The main dining area, which offers fresh, flavorful cuisine prepared daily, will also get a refreshed look. The Bistro, located in Meadow Ridge’s signature two-story atrium, will continue to offer casual dining and take-away meals.
