New Weston Hebrew School to Open at Norfield Grange

New Weston Hebrew School to Open October 21 at the Grange.

The New Weston Hebrew School, will begin its fall classes on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 3:45-5;15 PM at the Norfield Grange 12 Goodhill Road Weston. The program is under the leadership of Freida Hecht who is a prominent community educator and director of the Program.

The Hebrew School will offer a “hands-on learning approach,” with children learning about Jewish history, traditions and customs through games, arts and crafts and more. With this multi-sensory teaching technique, there promises never to be a dull moment on Tuesdays, Ms. Hecht said. “There will be excitement every single Tuesday because there will be always be something new.”

The school will be open to boys and girls in kindergarten through seventh grade on Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m. The first day of classes is set for Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Every Jewish child is welcome, regardless of affiliation, level of observance, or prior knowledge. A synagogue membership is not required. The school will also offer bar/bat mitzvah preparation as well.
