Passerby Helped Rescue Accident Victim in Weston

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on the Newtown Turnpike.

The Weston Volunteer Fire Department said several fire crews and the Weston Police Department responded to a motor vehicle rollover on the dirt section of Newtown Turnpike at aprroximately 6:02 a.m. Friday with a person still inside.

A passerby had broken the rear window of the vehicle out - went inside and cut the drivers seat belt and helped the driver get out prior to our arrival, the Fire Department said. The operator was evaluated by Weston Volunteer EMS and refused transport to the hospital.
