PD: Bat-Wielding Weston Man Threatens Motorist

The man was allegedly driving erratically and threatened people with a bat.

A Weston man was arrested in Westport Saturday after he allegedly threatened a motorist with an aluminum bat.

The man, Allen Blumenfeld, 66, was operating erratically, according to Westport Now. He allegedly cut-off another motorist and made a threatening motion with a bat, police said.

The officer observed this behavior and went over to speak with Blumenfeld, who couldn’t offer an explanation for why he had a bat in his vehicle, police said.

Blumenfeld was charged with having a weapon in a motor vehicle, threatening and breach of peace.
