A pickup truck caught fire on Weston Road near Ford Road in Westport at about 11:30 a.m. Westport firefighters doused it without injuries to anyone.
The engine compartment was fully involved when firefighters arrived. Westport police closed the roadway for about a half hour while the fire was extringuished, and a tow truck removed the damaged pickup.
The last Fire Department unit cleared the scene at 12:14 p.m.
