REDDING, CT — Larceny, a Craig's List scam and a boulder on Route 107 topped the Redding Police Department the week of Mar. 7-13.
A Giles Hill Road landlord suspects their tenant has stolen many possessions over the course of a moth, and filed a complaint with the Redding police on Mar. 7, The investigation remains open.
Also on the 7th, a vehicle driving northbound on Route 107, had an unexpected encounter with a boulder that had fallen into the roadway. No injuries were reported.

Same day, same road: A tow truck collided with another vehicle. No injuries were reported.
On Mar. 9, a vehicle struck a deer ran in front of and was struck by a vehicle driving southbound on Route 53. No human was injured, and the deer was last seen running off into the woods.

Two days later, a Topstone Road resident complained to police of being scammed out of thousands of dollars in a scheme involving a Craigslist ad for a furnished apartment in Brooklyn, NY. There was no further information.
Finally, during the snowstorm on Mar. 12, a driver traveling northbound on Route 53 lost control due to slippery road conditions, then spun around off into the northbound shoulder of the roadway. Redding police issued the motorist a warning for traveling too fast for the road conditions.
