Taliban, Power Hour and Strike Dead: Very Pure Heroin Brands Pose Great Danger
Police are warning residents that unusually pure heroin is posing a great danger to public health.
Redding Police are warning residents that there is an unusually pure and dangerous batch of heroin in Connecticut that is marketed under the names “Power Hour,” “Taliban” and “Strike Dead.”
Police in Redding are working with other law enforcement agencies in Connecticut and New Jersey to spread the word about the increased danger.
Every Redding police officer carries Narcan, a drug which can stop a heroin overdose in its tracks and give emergency personnel time to transport a patient to the hospital for further treatment. However, heroin may be cut or mixed with other drugs against which Narcan is ineffective, according to a press release.
