Trucker Avoids Jail Time in Crash That Killed Weston Man
The trucker drifted off the highway and hit a man changing a tire.

WESTON, CT—A trucker who drifted off I-95 in Greenwich and killed a Weston man changing a tire won't face jail time.
Garfield Simmonds, 51, received a six-month suspended sentence along with one year of probation, according to Greenwich Time. He pleaded guilty to negligent homicide with a motor vehicle.
The crash killed Henry Wagmeister, 57, in 2013.
