U.S. News Ranks Weston High School Among Top 5 in Connecticut

The verdict is out on the top high schools in Connecticut after U.S. News & World Report released their rankings Tuesday.

Several schools in Fairfield County made the list, including Weston High School.

The latest rankings put the school at No. 5 in the state.

Rankings are based on student to teacher ratios, college readiness with regard to Advanced Placement exam scores, and proficiency in mathematics and English.

Of the 66 percent of Weston students who take AP exams, 61 percent of them pass, according to the report. About 97 percent of students are proficient in math and 97 percent are proficient in English.

Weston High has a 13:1 student to teacher ratio. The school also received a national rank of 34 for STEM.
