West Redding Firefighters Tackle Marchant Road Blaze
The West Redding Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the fire which broke out at a residence Friday night.
REDDING, CT — Firefighters from multiple companies worked to contain a Marchant Road house fire to its room of origin on Friday night.
West Redding Fire Department, Redding Fire & EMS Company #1 and Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department responded to the report of a possible structure fire at 55 Marchant Road, approximately 8:20 p.m. First responders found a fire visible fire on the rear side of the house, and called Bethel Fire & EMS to the scene.
All occupants, including two dogs were safely outside the home by the time firefighters began positioning hose lines around the home. No injuries were reported, and the fire was completely extinguished.

Roof operations were limited due to a solar panel array, according to WRFD's report.
Town coverage was provided by Miry Brook Fire Department, Weston Volunteer Fire Department and Easton Volunteer Fire Department. Additional assistance was provided by county coordinator Ring, Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department and Danbury Volunteer Fire Battalion Thirty-One, Inc./Squad 7 from Danbury.
