1 Injured In Car Crash Near Saugatuck River: Westport Fire
Firefighters found the car on its side and submerged in two feet of water, authorities said.
WESTPORT, CT — A motorist was injured in a car crash when their vehicle went into a creek near the Saugatuck River, Westport fire officials said in a Facebook post.
Westport Fire Department was dispatched to the crash site after receiving a report of a person trapped. When units arrived, they found the car on its side, submerged in two feet of water in a creek adjacent to the Saugatuck River.
Firefighters wearing cold water suits were able to rescue the driver, authorities said.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
