29-Year-Old Stamford Man ID'd as Victim in Fatal Fall at Westport Construction Site
The fall off a third-story roof occurred Sunday afternoon on Norwalk Avenue in Westport.

WESTPORT, CT — Stamford resident Juan B. Rodriguez, 29, has been identified by Westport police as the man who died Sunday after falling off a third-story roof at a construction site on Norwalk Avenue in Westport.
The cause of the 12:45 p.m. accident remains under investigation by the Westport Police Department Detective Bureau and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Additional details, such as whether Rodriguez was an employee for a specific company, and what type of work he was doing on the roof, have not been released.
A second worker also fell at the site at the same time, and he continues to be treated at Norwalk Hospital. His injuries were considered serious, but his condition is unknown at this time, according to police.

"[Rodriguez] was transported to the Chief Medical Examiner Office where an autopsy will be performed," Westport police wrote in a statement. "As of today no charges have been filed in the accident."
