Family Fun Magazine created a survey of 2,000 moms with children ages 3 to 12 to rate 360 destinations of best family vacation spots in America. 1)   Pearl Harbor Visitors’ Center/USS Arizona Memorial, Hawaii 

Pacific Historic Parks has recently updated the audio tour and highly recommended for visitors to utilize while waiting for their programs to begin.  Be sure to check out the Harbor Memorial Theater that shows a 23-minute documentary film on the December 7, 1941 attack. This is a great trip for the family because it is educational, engaging, and Hawaii is a beautiful spot for hiking and relaxation as well.

2)   Glacier National Park, Montana

Experience the history through historic chalets, transportation, and stories of Native Americans. With over 700 miles of trails, the whole family can enjoy the adventure and scenic views throughout the park.

3)   Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Florida

This is an excellent trip for the family and it is every child’s dream to visit Disneyworld. Enjoy the parades, Disney characters, various attractions and rides and nonstop entertainment.

4)   Yosemite National Park, California

This park is best known for its waterfalls. There are more than 400 species of wildlife and . Immerse yourself in the ecosystem and spend quality time with family hiking and creating memories.

5)   Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Michigan

The Sleeping Bear Dunes offer miles of sand beach, coastal villages, picturesque farmsteads, walking trails, and more. The dunes create the perfect views of the lake and park.

6)   Mount Rushmore National Memorial, South Dakota  

Millions of visitors from around the world visit the Mount Rushmore National Memorial to learn about the history of the preservation of our country. Mount Rushmore is a symbol of freedom.  Check out the Black Hills of South Dakota and view the rock formations, canyons, and deep blue lakes. This spot is an excellent place to experience the diverse heritage of our country.

7)   Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

8)   Carlsbad Caverns National Park, New Mexico

Explore 118 caves on guided tours and hike around the park. There is so much to see and do in New Mexico, but this is ranked as one of the best places to go in New Mexico!

9)   Acadia National Park, Maine

This is the most visited National Park in the United States. The views are spectacular and there is so much to see and do at this vacation spot. Bar Harbor, Maine is a coastal resort town that has a relationship with Acadia National Park and many people stay there and explore the park on day excursions. 

10)   Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho

Yellowstone is the first national park in the world and is filled with rich history. It serves as a living museum and gives visitors a glimpse of what the continent was like in the days before recorded history.
