According to the agenda, the request comes from the Department of Public Works and seeks approval of an appropriation of $3,329,000 to the Municipal Improvement Fund for the purchase of eleven 33,000-pound gross vehicle weight medium-duty Highway Service Dump Trucks.

Board members are also scheduled to review bond and note authorization associated with the proposed expenditure. If approved, the funding would be allocated to the Municipal Improvement Fund account designated for the vehicle purchase.

The purchase represents a significant capital investment in the town's public works fleet, which is used for roadway maintenance, snow removal and other municipal operations.
