WESTPORT, CT — Westport's Representative Town Meeting is scheduled to consider whether the town should join the Connecticut Municipal Development Authority, a quasi-public entity established under state law, during its next regular meeting.
The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. on July 7 in the Westport Town Hall auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave. The meeting is scheduled to be held in person.
The meeting's sole business item is a petition submitted by at least 20 Westport electors requesting that the RTM adopt a resolution to have Westport join the CMDA, which was established under Connecticut General Statutes Sections 8-169hh through 8-169tt.
According to the agenda, RTM members are scheduled to take whatever action they determine appropriate on the petition request.
