WESTPORT, CT — Westport's Historic District Commission may seek to delay four home demolitions, the Board of Selectmen considers a $139,465 contract for the Wakeman Town Farm barn and a town plan consultant, and the town is moving to replace the flood-damaged Jesup Road Bridge.

1. Historic Panel May Delay 4 Demolitions
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 7 p.m. (Zoom only)
Where: Online; Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.
What to know: The Historic District Commission may vote to oppose demolition permits and require the full 180-day delay for 23 Pequot Trail, 37 Burr Farms Road, 107 Roseville Road and 17 Saint John's Place, according to the agenda. It will also consider demolishing a detached garage at 25 Evergreen Ave. in the Evergreen Avenue Local Historic District and discuss a draft amendment to the demolition delay regulation.

2. Wakeman Town Farm Barn Contract, Town Plan Consultant
When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 9 a.m. (also on Channel 79)
Where: Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave.
What to know: The Board of Selectmen will consider a $139,465 contract with Country Carpenters Inc. of Hebron for the Wakeman Town Farm barn building shell, accept a donation from Coastal Luxury Homes LLC to demolish and haul away the farm's shed, and approve a consulting agreement with BFJ Planning for the 2027 Plan of Conservation and Development, according to the agenda.

3. Riverside Avenue Restriping, Hiawatha Lane Sewer
When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 9 a.m.
Where: Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave.
What to know: Acting as the Local Traffic Authority, the selectmen will consider new striping and parking limit signs on Riverside Avenue between Treadwell Avenue, Saugatuck Avenue and Bridge Street, according to the agenda. As the Water Pollution Control Authority, they will consider accepting the public portion of the Hiawatha Lane sewer extension built under an agreement with The Village at Saugatuck Owner LLC.

4. ZBA Hears Post Road East Rebuild
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 6 p.m. (Zoom only)
Where: Online; Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.
What to know: The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Fin Max Realty LLC's request for variances to remove the rear section of the building at 1849 Post Road East, rebuild it on the same footprint and add rooftop mechanical units, according to the agenda. Four residential variance requests are also on the agenda.

5. Town Seeks Designers For New Jesup Road Bridge
When: Proposals due Wednesday, Oct. 28; the bridge remains closed
Where: Jesup Road Bridge at Imperial Avenue, Jesup Road
What to know: The Jesup Road Bridge at Imperial Avenue, badly damaged in the Sept. 13 flooding, remains closed to cars and pedestrians, and Public Works has issued a request for proposals for engineering and design of a replacement, according to the town. The town is running engineering, permitting and funding work in parallel to speed the project, First Selectman Kevin Christie said.
