Applicants Sought For Westport Zoning Board of Appeals Vacancy

The Westport Republican Town Committee is looking to fill a current vacancy on the Westport Zoning Board of Appeals.

WESTPORT, CT – The Westport Republican Town Committee (RTC) is now accepting applications for those interested in filling the current vacancy on the Westport Zoning Board of Appeals.

The Westport RTC’s Zoning Board of Appeals Vacancy Committee will interview qualified candidates and make a recommendation to the Zoning Board of Appeals on a replacement for member Bill Harris, according to a release. Harris, has served on the ZBA November 2007, and was reelected to the position in November 2015.

Registered Westport Republicans who are interested in being considered for the ZBA, or who are interested in serving as an alternate, should contact Westport Republican Town Committee Chairman Tim Wetmore at 203-650-8463 or westportrepublicans@gmail.com and provide a letter of interest and a professional resume no later than 12 p.m. on Feb. 16.

Candidates for the Zoning Board of Appeals vacancy will be given a detailed questionnaire and should be prepared to discuss their skills and qualifications with the RTC’s Zoning Board of Appeals Vacancy Committee in an interview.

The candidate selected and approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals will serve out Mr. Harris’s term, ending in November 2019.
