Approved Westport Budget Comes with Decrease

Good news for Westport taxpayers for the moment.

WESTPORT, CT — The Representative Town Meeting approved a $78.39 million budget, which is a 2.5 percent decrease from the current year.

The mill rate will stay the same so long as more state cuts aren't made in September, according to Westport Now.

Any cuts would make for a tax increase in the fall.
