Attorney: Police Overcautious in Arresting Westport Mom Who Left Baby in Car

The woman's attorney said he would work to get the charges dismissed.

The attorney of a woman who was arrested for leaving her infant alone in a car said police were overcautious in arresting her.

Attorney Mark Sherman said that no crime was committed when his client, Milan Kunajukr, 30, left her infant alone in a car while quickly shopping, according to the Connecticut Post.

He added he would work to get the charges dismissed.

She had allegedly left the infant alone in an unlocked vehicle that was running with the A/C on, police said. She was in the store for about seven minutes before police arrived and returned to the vehicle shortly after their arrival.
