Barnes & Noble Opens New Westport Store In Late February: Report

WESTPORT, CT — Barnes & Noble will open its new Westport bookstore on Feb. 24 in the former Restoration Hardware location on the Post Road East, writes The Hour.

The bookstore closed its previous Westport location after more than 20 years in the Post Plaza Shopping Center in December.

Last spring, Restoration Hardware, which had been downtown for nearly two decades, closed.

The 76 Post Road East location in Westport held a movie for decades before the furniture and housewares store.

Barnes & Noble will be the first bookstore in Westport's downtown shopping district since the closing of Klein's on Main Street in 2004, according to the publication. The Remarkable Book Shop, also on Main Street, closed about a decade earlier.

Patch reached out to Barnes & Noble for comment but did not immediately receive a reply.
