Bomb Squad Called To James Comey's Former Westport Home: Report
Police said a package sent to James Comey's former Westport home was deemed "not suspicious" by the Stamford Bomb Squad.

WESTPORT, CT – A package sent to the former Westport home of James Comey early Thursday was deemed "not suspicious" by the Stamford Bomb Squad, according to media reports. The owners of the Westway Road home reported they received a package addressed to the former FBI Director and contacted police as a precaution, police said.
Police said on Facebook the road was "closed until further notice" due to police activity in the area. The road has since reopened.
According to the Stamford Advocate, police said the road was closed out of an abundance of caution. The Stamford Bomb Squad subsequently responded to the area and were able to determine there was nothing in the package, police said.
