Making things happen!
Gotta-Move a fitness movement for people 40+ who are still looking to enjoy eating, drinking and making time for some fitness in between.

Yesterday, my partner in crime, “Peppa”, reminded me that where we put our energy is where we make things happen. Hmmmm…..I know she has said this to me at least 99 times before, but for some reason it was the 100th time that made me really think about the importance of this statement. I think we all need to ask ourselves, “Where AM I focusing my energy today?” For most of us the details and rigors of daily life take over– job, kids, house, dog, laundry, grocery shopping, etc. tend to jump to the top of our focus, but it is SO important to keep a special place for keeping our energy on ourselves and the big picture. THAT is how you get your groove back! Maybe your big picture is making a career or lifestyle change, or crossing something off your bucket list, or losing a few pounds and getting back into your skinny jeans (sounds like it might be circling back to a New Year’s resolution).
Whatever your bigger focus in life is, save some energy daily for it, and really shine your spotlight on it. Take a few steps toward making things happen in relation to what that big goal is. Don’t let the mundane cloud your brain. Do something fun to make you feel good about yourself, and remember that when we feel good about ourselves we can do anything! Take seven minutes, pop over to the gotta-move channel on Youtube and do a daily snack there with me to get the oxygen pumping to your brain, and you’ll burn 50 calories as well. Look for the “Silly Snacks” video there and give yourself a laugh with me. Let the silly inspire you to feel young and see the world and all its wonderful possibilities with a fresh, “groovy” pair of eyes.
C’mon baby! I know you can do this. Now go get your dreams…..
