The Journey

Accept the voice. And then kill it.

Right now, you may be struggling. You may not be able to see what is coming. You may not feel like you will ever reach your goal. There will be always a part of you that says “you can’t..your too old…your too young…your too tired…you went out last night…you can’t jump…you can’t..”

That voice must be killed. Even the best athletes have that voice. What makes them the best is the ability to shrug it off and say “Let’s go”. They brush it off and push through.

It didn’t take you one day to get where you are right now. If you are starting from a tough place, feeling overweight, unfit, unhealthy…how long did it take to get there? 1, 2, 5, 20 years? Know that it will take time to get into a state of health and wellness too.

Remember this: there is no doubt if you are part of a program that involves a) knowledge, b) a plan of action and c) a support system you will prevail. You will make RIDICULOUS, never though of changes in your life.

One thing I have always picked up from the BEST, the ones that made incredible change or are at the top of their game is that the JOURNEY was the best part of it. Right now is awesome, and they are at a whole different level and mindset. But that journey, the struggles, the ups/downs, the mental battles, the decisions…that’s what counts.

So, go ahead. Enjoy the tough days. Enjoy the days you feel out of it and push through. Enjoy the changes that come out of nowhere and enjoy your new self.
