Chances for Snow in the Updated Weather Forecast for Westport

A top Connecticut meteorologist says the "weather drama meter" is spiking beginning on Thursday with some "huge changes."

Enjoy today’s weather as most of Connecticut will see temps near 50 degrees and then starting Thursday “huge changes and it’s back to the freezer tomorrow,” says WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons. Simmons also says there are two upcoming snow chances and the first may impact schools on Friday morning.

Simmons said in a video update on his Facebook page that the “weather drama meter” will spike after today with an arctic blast and two upcoming snow chances.

He said in a video update that some snow is expected late Thursday and early Friday and it may be enough to cause some school delays around the state. There is also a chance for some light snow Saturday night and into Sunday, Simmons said. No snow accumulation estimates have been made as of yet.
