This Is Connecticut's Best Haunted House

Nothing says Halloween like a visit to a haunted house. If you're in for a real scare and not just an attraction, a list from The Daily Meal has the best haunted house in every state.

In Connecticut, The Daily Meal deemed the Huguenot House in East Hartford as the best haunted house. According to The Daily Meal, the house was built in 1761 and is said to be haunted by a friendly duo known as Benny and the Blue Lady, the latter of which has even been seen through the windows on multiple occasions. In coming up with the list, The Daily Meal consulted its past coverage and looked up reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor.

"Current or former homes with a ghostly presence take on an especially eerie vibe, given they often come with tragic and personal tales of suicide, murder, or heartbreak," The Daily Meal writes. "So we sought out real houses that are actually haunted for the ultimate scare."
