Prix Fixe Menus Featuring Locally Grown Heirloom Tomatoes

August 16 thru August 28

 

Rizzuto's Wood-Fired Kitchen & Bar, with locations in Bethel, West Hartford, and Westport, CT kicks off their Heirloom Tomato Festival with a series of specially crafted dinner celebrations. Prix fixe menus incorporating an array of heirloom tomato dishes will be offered August 16 thru August 28. Rizzuto's signature, freshly prepared foods, including artisan bread, house made pasta, fresh seafood and free-range meats, will be incorporated with locally grown heirloom tomatoes and farm fresh produce to create a seasonal food experience like no other.

Heirloom Tomato Festival Celebration Dinners – On the Patio, Please Come Casual

 

West Hartford – Tuesday, August 17, 7:00 PM, $45 per person – plus tax and gratuity

Executive Chef Anthony Camilleri will prepare an extensive buffet style menu featuring produce from Urban Oaks Organic Farm in New Britain. Menu highlights include; yellow tomato soufflé, oysters crudo with tomato mignonette, marscarpone stuffed cherry tomatoes wrapped in prosciutto, whole roasted pig with tomato fig glaze, razor clams in spicy tomato sauce, lamb of leg rubbed with rosemary and dehydrated tomato garlic dust, and peach shortcake and tomato jam macaroons. General Manager Christopher Hodson will pair the wines.

Westport – Wednesday, August 18, 7:00 PM, $45 per person – plus tax and gratuity

Executive Chef Julio Cevallos will also team up with Urban Oaks Organic Farm in presenting a vibrant selection of antipasti incorporating farm fresh produce, artisan cheese, and local seafood. Heirloom tomatoes will be the focus throughout the menu and will include house made pasta, roasted pig, fresh fish, in addition to creative desserts. General Manager Anthony Kesslemark will present the wines.

Bethel – Thursday, August 19, 7:00 PM, $35 per person – plus tax and gratuity

Executive Chef Ricardo Limberti will be working with Bethel's own Holbrook Farm to create a seasonal family style menu. Food and wine enthusiasts can look forward to large platters of seasonal antipasti being passed around the table, as well as bowls of fresh pasta, in addition to meat and fish dishes that will include a variety of heirloom tomatoes and summer produce. General Manager Anne Whalen will be pairing the wines.

All three locations will feature Heirloom Tomato Prix Fixe Menus beginning Monday, August 16 thru Saturday, August 28.

Four (4) Course Menu: $29.50, $39.50 with wine pairing.
