Scott Bryce to Lead On-Camera Intensive Acting Class

 

Actor/producer/director Scott Bryce will present an intensive on-camera workshop at Palace Digital Studios in Norwalk in August.

 Classes will be held on Monday, Aug. 20,  and Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 7-10 pm,  or Tuesday, Aug. 28, and Thursday, Aug. 30, 7-10 pm.

 A 30-year film and TV veteran actor from a three-generation show business family, Bryce is an award-winning producer and director with “The Elisha Stockwell Story” and “Sybil Ludington” films for the Young American Heroes Series airing this fall on CPTV.

 This intensive workshop will give the actor on-camera, sound stage experience. From hitting your mark, to scaling your performance, actors will gain camera confidence as they practice the skills needed for auditioning, getting the job and being capable on set.

Shooting scenes with coverage, watching post, final mix and music, actors will also get a history of film to know where we came from and insight on the digital revolution to understand where the business in going. This intensive is for the serious actor ages 15 and up.

Classes are limited to 10 actors.  Course fee $375

About Scott Bryce

Scott, a graduate of Staples High School in Westport and currently a resident of Weston, has had an extensive acting career on stage, television and film. He has appeared on Broadway, off Broadway and in regional theatre.

On television, Scott was twice nominated for a Best Actor Daytime Emmy award for his work on As the World Turns. He starred with Drew Barrymore and Jennifer Beals in the Joel Schumacher directed series 2000 Malibu Road.

 Scott has since starred in TV movies and miniseries such as Pandora’s Clock, Visions of Murder and Exclusive. He has guest starred in dozens of TV series including: ER, Reba, and Sex in the City. He has played supporting roles in films such as, Above Freezing, Ghost Dog, Lethal Weapon 3, and Up Close and Personal with Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer. Scott was series regular “Mike McQueen” on WB’s Popular. 

Recently he has guest starred on, Law and Order SVU, Gossip Girl and 30 Rock. He recurs as Major Tom Foster on the Showtime hit Homeland and guest starred as Adnan Petrosian on the CBS hit Person of Interest. He co-starred as Damon in the independent feature film Not Waving But Drowning the premiered in July. He has narrated numerous books on tape and been the voice over talent for many productions and commercials. Full credit list available at www.imdb.com.

Behind the camera, Scott has produced and directed commercials for Addidas, Sign story, CBS Outer Net, and Best Buy.  He has produced and directed video for numerous corporate sales meetings and has helped develop new concept media such as the NCTF sponsored multi theatre installation, “StageVision”.  Scott has created and directed special effects for Master Foods and U.S. Surgical.  His corporate client list includes: Canada Dry, Sun Oil, Grey Advertising, American Express, I.B.M, Bayer, Altria, D&B, and GE.  He Executive Produced and Directed the Documentary “Homeward Bound”

Scott co-produced “Frederick Douglass-From Slavery to Freedom,” starring, Jamie Hector, for CPTV. He is co-executive producer and director of the comedy web series, “Steamboat” which has signed a letter of intent to distribute globally on The Venture Channel in the fall. This year Scott Produced and directed “The Elisha Stockwell Story” and “Sybil Ludington” two films for the Young American Heroes series airing soon on CPTV. Scott has produced and Directed at the Palace for more than ten years.
