"Short Walks for Short People" will be led by an Aspectuck Land Trust member and volunteer from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 17, at the Leonard Schine Preserve. The walk through the land trust's new natural playground is suitable for children ages three to six. The playground is built with natural materials found on the preserve, offering areas for fort-building, digging, tea-parties and nature collages.
The Schine Preserve is located off of Weston Road (Rt. 57 in Westport). Attendees should park on the private Glendinning Place located between Lyons Plains Road and the W. Branch Road Extension.
