'Fox & Friends' Adds Former NBC CT Anchor Todd Piro

Piro recently left NBC Connecticut and has joined the popular morning show "Fox & Friends."

Former NBC Connecticut anchor Todd Piro has landed a job at the popular "Fox and Friends" show on Fox News. Piro interned at Fox News in 1998 while in college. Most recently he was the weekend morning anchor and a reporter at WVIT, also known as NBC Connecticut. He also filled in various roles at NBC and MSNBC including “Early Today,” “First Look” and “The Place for Politics,” according to his biography.

“As a college intern in 1998, I would walk into the Fox News Channel building, dreaming of the future,” Piro said on Facebook. “Today, that future is here...and the boy from Jersey is finally home. Join me at 7:20a on Fox and Friends to learn more about my journey and the family that made me who I am today.”

"Fox and Friends" is hosted by Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade. Recently the show has picked up a large number of viewers and posted its best month earlier this year. It is one of President Donald Trump's favorite news shows, according to the LA Times.

Piro left NBC Connecticut in April, according to TV Spy. He is married to Fox 61 morning news anchor Amanda Raus.

Drazen Lands Job

Fellow former NBC Connecticut anchor Brad Drazen has landed a job at United Technologies as associate director of communications and public relations, according to The Laurel.
