Goodwill Elects Westport Resident Leanne Bell to Board of Directors
Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut Expands Board of Directors Team
BRIDGEPORT, CONN. (July 25, 2016) — Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut is excited to announce the election of Leanne Bell of Westport, Connecticut to its Board of Directors.
Bell has more than 30 years as a power industry investor and finance professional, working as a senior executive for large public companies including Prudential and GE Capital. Leanne is also involved with Project Luangwa, a Zambian based charity focused on lifting communities through education, with Smith College’s Picker Engineering Program and with Doctors Without Borders. Leanne earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College.
“We are thrilled to welcome Leanne as a new member of our Board of Directors,” said David B. Cole, Board Chairman, Goodwill of Western & Northern Connecticut. “We believe that Leanne’s significant business experience and passion about our organization will contribute to the success of our mission here at Goodwill.”

Goodwill is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization governed by an elected board of directors, and Bell will join a board that provides strategic leadership and fiduciary oversight as it works to ensure progress towards organizational goals.
