Gubernatorial Candidate's Campaign Under Investigation: Report
The SEEC has opened an investigation into Westport tech executive Steve Obsitnik's campaign for governor.

WESTPORT, CT — An investigation into Westport tech executive Steve Obsitnik’s campaign for governor has been opened by the State Elections Enforcement Commission, according to a media reports.
According to the CT Mirror, the SEEC is investigating whether Obsitnik illegally raised campaign contributions or improperly coordinated activities with the independent organization FixCT Inc., which has raised $137,000 to support Obstinik.
According to the Connecticut Post, FixCT Inc and Obsitnik both share at least one consultant in Connect Strategy Communications, however state law requires candidates have no contact with such independent groups, including the sharing of vendors.

The investigation delays Obsitnik from obtaining public financing for his campaign indefinitely, which could heavily effect his chances in the five-way Republican primary only six weeks away, the CT Mirror reported.
