Here Today: Mixology

Mixology joins the legion of trendy boutiques in downtown Westport with a selection of women’s apparel and accessories all priced under $100.  “We fill up the space between high end boutiques and lower end stores – we aim to fill that gap,” says owner Jonathan Shapiro.  The store located at 151 Post Road East, features cozy sweaters, floaty blouses, and party-worthy dresses from their own Mixology line as well as select items from brands like Free People and BB Dakota.  While the styles skew toward a younger customer (think sequin shorts and Fair Isle leggings), the cashmere cardigan ($88!) and Missoni-inspired prints will appeal to moms and daughters alike.   Mixology’s experienced sales staff (cleverly referred to as Mixologists) offer styling help and advice for the fashion-challenged.   This is Shapiro’s fifth Mixology boutique and first in Connecticut, his other stores are on Long Island.
