Housekeeper, 63, Accused of Stealing Checks from Westport Client: Cops
Police say the suspect was allegedly seen on bank surveillance video cashing one of the stolen checks.

WESTPORT, CT — A 63-year-old Bridgeport woman, who was a housekeeper for a Westport woman, was arrested on forgery and larceny charges for allegedly stealing checks from the client and cashing them, according to police.
In December, the victim filed a larceny complaint with Westport police, after noticing that "checks were written and signed in her name from her checking account, but she did not write them."
The checks totaled $500, and the victim "suspected her housekeeper as no one else had access to the home."
