Investigation Continues Into 'Untimely Death' In Westport

The woman, who has been identified, was found in her Oak Ridge Park home on Thursday.

WESTPORT, CT — The 56-year-old woman who was the subject of an untimely death investigation by Westport police this week has been identified.

Jennifer Lindstrom, of Oak Ridge Park in Westport, was unresponsive when a housekeeper discovered her at about 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Lindstrom was found at the bottom of a staircase leading to the basement, which prompted the investigation.

"The Westport Police Detective Bureau, with the assistance of Connecticut State Police Western
District Major Crime, completed their on-scene investigation last night at approximately 12:45
a.m.," said Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods in a statement.

Police referred to the case as an "isolated incident," and Lindstrom has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

The investigation remains active, and Woods said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
