Suggs has been a member of the Representative Town Meeting for 10 years.

WESTPORT, CT — John Suggs, a 10-year veteran of the Westport Representative Town Meeting, recently announced his independent candidacy seeking to become the town's next First Selectman.

His campaign emphasizes preserving a strong school system and open space, and maintaining the town's excellent quality of life, all of which he wants to achieve through a non-partisan approach to governing.

"Let’s harness the energy and imagination of the entire community and give residents the opportunity to engage and tackle issues they really care about," he states on his campaign website.
