The state unemployment rate is trending down into full employment territory, according to new data released by the CT Department of Labor.

The state unemployment rate is trending down into full employment territory and has now recovered 91.3 percent (108,700 jobs) of the 119,100 seasonally adjusted jobs lost in the "Great Recession" between March 2008 and February 2010, according to new data released by the Connecticut Department of Labor.

"It is clear that Connecticut's labor market continues to tighten," Director of the Office of Research Andy Condon said. "Our unemployment rate continues to trend down into full employment territory, and nearly all industry supersectors are showing annual growth. The trade and information sectors are the only exceptions."
The November 2018 unemployment rate for Connecticut is down four-tenths of a percentage point from a year ago, when it was 4.5 percent. The US jobless rate in November 2018 was 3.7 percent, which is unchanged from October.
