Letter To The Editor: Vote Kane For First Selectman
Her commitment to achieving positive change is what sets her apart.

I am writing to express my support for Melissa Kane as Westport First Selectperson. It was very good fortune for me to meet Melissa over ten years ago. We first met when our girls were in kindergarten together at Kings Highway Elementary School. We both became room moms and our friendship, and our daughter's friendship began from there, and has prospered to this day. Melissa was a hard working class representative, and as years passed, an even harder working community activist, taking roles supporting the Westport Library, the Green Village Initiative and the Westport Arts Center.
We were delighted when Melissa ran for RTM, representing us in District 3. She was able to make significant progress in that role - all while nurturing and raising a loving family - complimented by her parents Mel and Judy, longtime Westport residents. Over the years we have remained close. My family has been fortunate to be included in Melissa’s gatherings, barbecues, parties and holidays. We have also shared our respective religious milestones together. Melissa values diversity and cultural understanding in both her work and family life. I have watched Melissa get involved in her many commitments and have been impressed by her dedication to making Westport a better place.

In every role she has an enlightening opinion about what can be done to improve the our town. Her commitment to achieving positive change is what sets her apart. Many have thoughts and ideas on how to better life in our wonderful town; Melissa is one of the few dedicated to making these ideas a reality. I am a registered Republican, but will be voting for Melissa, a Democrat, this fall as I truly believe she will make a great town like Westport an even better place to live for me, my family and everyone in Westport. I fully endorse Melissa and hope you will vote for her on November 7th.
