Malloy Lines Up New Gig After Governor Job

Governor Dannel P. Malloy​ has already lined up one gig for when his administration ends in January.

HARTFORD, CT — As eyes turn to who will be chosen as his replacement in November, Boston College Law School announced this week Governor Dannel P. Malloy will teach at the school during the spring 2019 semester, according to media reports. He will be the college's fifth Rappaport Distinguished Visiting Professor.

According to the the Boston College Law School Magazine, Malloy will use his vast experience from over 20 years in government to offer insight into different aspects of policy-making. He will host a seminar and participate in lectures and discussions over the course of the semester.

Malloy should be familiar with the workings of Boston College, as he earned his undergraduate degree and juris doctorate from the school and later graduated from the Law School in 1980, according to the Connecticut Post.

Malloy expressed gratitude towards the school for "taking a chance on him," citing what he described as a "serious learning disability" he faced as an incoming undergraduate student, the Connecticut Post reported.

According to its website, Boston College Law School is among the nation’s best law schools, whose success is "based on a tradition of educating lawyers through theory and practice, shaping leaders prepared to grapple with society's most important moral and ethical questions. "
